The Eval-i App is designed to be the device developer’s companion. The App provides a 6-phase development guide with integrated progress tracking. Each phase provides valuable tools appropriate for the phase, along with a checklist of key tasks to consider and complete. The app also consolidates a broad spectrum of resources ranging from initial market evaluation right through to manufacturing and regulatory submissions. One of the primary tools developed is a total project cost estimator which aims to assist early-stage planning and provides a complete breakdown of more than 40 of the major costs for each project.
Inventors, start-ups, engineering students, and tech investors need to understand the intricacies of the medical device and consumer product development pathway. Currently, all fundamental information and resources are spread across regulatory standards, business courses, consultants, articles, guides, podcasts and so many other platforms. For the new device inventor, compiling and distilling the correct content can be simply overwhelming and lead to time and money wasted completing unnecessary tasks. A single source of information is required to streamline the process of getting an invention idea to market, and the Eval-i app does just that.
