The ‘ONEXPLAYER Mini’ is the newest iteration of the ‘ONEXPLAYER,’ a line of compact handheld gaming PCs. The ONEXPLAYER Mini boasts powerful components such as a Ryzen 7 5800U central processing unit (CPU), 16GB of 4,266 Mhz RAM, and up to 2TB of SSD storage.
This compact gaming PC has USB-A, USB-C, and audio ports, as well as Bluetooth support for peripherals. When this is combined with the devices 12,500 mAh battery and fast-charger, the device is solidified as a reliable, high-powered gaming PC on the go. However, instead of a built-in keyboard, the device is more similar to Valve’s ‘Steam Deck’ or Nintendo’s ‘Switch.’ This is a difficult market to compete in, but definitely one with a lot of space for innovation.
The ONEXPLAYER Mini cuts its sector of the market as a Windows-powered handheld, as opposed to the Steam Deck which runs on Linux, or various other handhelds that run on a gaming-focused operating system. Consumers can preorder the ONEXPLAYER Mini for $999 USD, which is $260 less than the $1,259 MSRP of the device.
