Samsung TV Plus is a OTT service offered by Samsung for their Smart TVs, with content such as news, sports, entertainment and more. Samsung has announced that they are expanding the service to 12 more countries, with plans to expand to India in 2021.

Samsung first launched the free service back in 2015, integrating it into their Smart TV platform and providing users the option to watch both live and on-demand TV anytime. It now offers 742 channels worldwide for users in U.S., Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Korea, and has recently expanded to Australia and Brazil.

Samsung has also announced further expansions plans to bring their TV Plus service to countries such as India, Mexico, Sweden, and other European countries.

Commenting on the announcement, Seline Sangsook Han, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics said:

Throughout the pandemic, we have seen how consumers spend time at home and how much they value access to great media content. We have seen TVs become the center of entertainment – from being a source of news to a streaming on-demand partner. With our latest expansion into new markets and content line-up, we hope that TV Plus continues to be a premium at-home destination for Samsung Smart TV users all over the world
